Copyright & Content Notices
Last updated: June 10, 2026
1. Overview
Zapable hosts content uploaded by independent creators. We respect intellectual property rights and respond to valid notices under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA, 17 U.S.C. § 512) and the EU Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, Art. 16). Anyone — registered or not — can submit a notice using the form below or by emailing support@zapable.net.
2. What a valid notice must contain
- Your name and contact email.
- The exact URL(s) of the content on Zapable you are reporting.
- For copyright: identification of the original work being infringed.
- A sufficiently substantiated explanation of why the content is infringing or illegal.
- A good-faith declaration and a statement that your notice is accurate (for copyright notices, under penalty of perjury).
- Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name in the form qualifies).
3. What happens next
- You receive a confirmation that we received your notice.
- We review it promptly and without undue delay.
- If we remove or restrict content, the affected creator receives a statement of reasons and may appeal or submit a counter-notice.
- If we decline to act, we tell you why.
Counter-notices: a creator who believes their content was removed in error may send a counter-notice to support@zapable.net including the removed content's URL, an explanation, their contact details, and consent to the jurisdiction of their place of residence (or, for US purposes, the relevant federal district court).
Repeat infringers: we terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe intellectual property rights or repeatedly publish illegal content.
4. Misuse of this process
Knowingly submitting false notices can make you liable for damages (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)). Repeated manifestly unfounded notices may be disregarded under DSA Art. 23.
